This blog will follow the Wheelchair Rugby action during the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, China. Along the way I'll try to share my travel experiances, as well as the flavor of the games.

Day 4 Pictures
Yesterday was all about smoozing with big wigs, so not much to share photo wise. HERE IS WHAT I HAVE.
My name is John Bishop, President of the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF). I first became involved with wheelchair rugby as a player with a new team in South Florida back in 1991. While I was never a great athlete, I loved the action and hard hits of the game, as well as the camaraderie that makes this sport so great.
Since my early days as a player I've filled a lot of different roles, including being Team Manager for USA Wheelchair Rugby (1999-2004), and serving on the Board of the USQRA from 1996-2007. In 2005 I joined the Board of the IWRF as VP of Communications, and in 2010 was elected as its third President.
Being involved with a sport that has become my life passion has allowed me to travel and experience the world in ways that I never could have imagined. Most importantly, it has provided me with a pathway around the globe to help introduce countless others with a disability to this amazing sport, one which dramatically changes the lives of all who become involved. I am very grateful to have this incredible opportunity, and invite you to join me on my adventures through this blog.
